Overcoming challenges to realise the dream

Dr Amandine Beke explains how she took her vision for her new practice, Vere Dental, from dream to reality.

Setting up a brand-new dental practice can be a difficult yet hugely rewarding endeavour for those who aspire to be business owners. Indeed, this was a dream that Dr Amandine Beke had held for many years and one she worked very hard on before taking a leap of faith and embarking on the long journey to establishing her own practice.

Amandine was born in the Belgian capital, Brussels. She graduated in 2015 with a master’s degree in dental sciences, providing the foundation to become a general dentist.

During this time, Amandine developed an interest in pain management, and the associated mechanics and appropriate treatment techniques, so she decided to pursue a postgraduate certificate to improve her understanding of chronic facial pain which she completed in 2017. It was after this that she and her partner decided to move to London and she went on to work in various dental practices here.

Throughout these years, Amandine kept her dream of owning a business alive and was inspired by some of the exceptional places that she worked in. She made a note of every element she wished to bring to her own practice and began to build a vision of what she wanted to achieve.

After doing extensive research on everything from location to dental equipment, service providers to finance options, while also saving up, Amandine was ready to get started on what would become the beautiful Vere Dental.
